(ANSA) - MOSCOW, DECEMBER 19 - Russian President Vladimir Putin has just arrived in Minsk, Belarus, for a state visit during which he will meet his colleague and ally Alexander Lukashenko.
This was announced by Russian state television.
Images broadcast on Russian state television showed Putin disembarking from a plane at a freezing, snow-covered airport in Minsk and being warmly greeted by his ally Lukashenko ahead of bilateral talks.
The negotiations between the Russian and Belarusian leaders - according to official press releases - will focus on relations between the two countries and on international and regional problems.
