The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is currently in production in the UK.
In addition to Charlotte Brändström, who had already directed two episodes of the first season, two other directors were hired for the big job.
The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which will also feature cast replacements, is directed entirely by women.
Amazon Studios announced this week that Swedish-French Charlotte Brändström, American-Moroccan Sanaa Hamri and British Louise Hooper will direct the second chapter.
But don't expect new episodes before 2024.
Director Brändström has already shot the battle episode "Udun" (1x06) and the episode "The Eye" (1x07) from the first season of "The Rings of Power", having previously worked as a director for series such as "Jupiter's Legacy", "Away" , "The Witcher", "Colony" or "Outlander".
