The German district court of Itzehoe sentenced Irmgard F., 97, former secretary of the Nazi concentration camp of Stutthof, near Gdansk, to two years on probation.
"I'm sorry for everything that happened. I regret that I was in Stutthof at the time. I can't say anything else," said Irmgard Furchner, 97, during the trial on December 6, taking the floor for the first time time.
The woman is guilty of complicity in the murder of over 10,500 inmates of the camp, from June 1943 to April 1945, when she was between 18 and 19 years old.
The trial, in the Itzehoe court, lasted 14 months.
