(ANSA) - BERLIN, DECEMBER 20 - The German district court of Itzehoe has sentenced 97-year-old Irmgard F., former secretary of the Nazi ager of Stutthof, near Gdansk, to two years on probation.
"I'm sorry for everything that happened. I regret that I was in Stutthof at that time. I can't say anything else," said Irmgard Furchner, 97, during the trial on December 6, speaking for the first time.
The woman is guilty of complicity in the murder of over 10,500 camp inmates, from June 1943 to April 1945, when she was between 18 and 19 years old.
The trial, in the court of Itzehoe, lasted 14 months.
