This was stated by the spokesman for the Iranian Judiciary, Massoud Setayeshi, writes the Irna news agency, adding that all recent death sentences for 'Muharebeh' (fight against God) are based on Sharia - God's law for Islam for those arrested during the anti-government demonstrations that have been going on for over three months in Iran.
The official's statements come in reaction to the international condemnation of the recent hangings of MohsenShekari and Majidreza Rahnavard, two protesters in their early twenties sentenced to death for 'Muharebeh'.
Dozens of demonstrators arrested during the demonstrations of these three months have been sentenced to death and are awaiting the execution of the sentence.
