TURIN - The panoramic lift of the Mole Antonelliana reopens to the public on Thursday 22 December.
The maintenance work was necessary to guarantee the continuous verification of the rigid safety standards that a vertical ropeway installation - as this type of lift is technically defined - requires, given the technical exceptional nature of the apparatus.
"We are very happy that during these end-of-year holidays Turinese and tourists can once again enjoy the extraordinary view of the city from above through its symbolic monument. The lift of the Mole is a unique and particularly complex mechanism to which Gtt dedicates special care and special attention.Through the work of the technicians and the collaboration of the bodies in charge of the tests, it was possible to reopen before Christmas, to the benefit of the whole city" explains Serena Lancione, CEO of the company.
"The reopening of the panoramic lift completes the visit to the National Cinema Museum - underlines Domenico De Gaetano,
director of the National Cinema Museum - and makes it possible to appreciate the complex but at the same time elegant and soaring architecture of the Mole Antonelliana.
Thus all visitors will once again be able to admire the city from above, as well as experience the thrill of VR, visit the great Dario Argento The Exhibit exhibition and the homage Le mani sulla rete.
100 years of Francesco Rosi".
