With Season 2 in the works and Season 3 already in the works, Amazon is taking stock of the first chapter of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and giving a glimpse of the future of the series The scope is still five seasons.

Deadline recently discussed these questions with Vernon Sanders, Head of Global TV at Amazon Studios.

In the interview, Sanders summed it up as follows: “The series has been a significant success for us and has performed incredibly well around the globe.

It is by far our largest scripted project and the most commercially successful series we have released to date.

After the release of the episodes, we saw a wave of new customers who came to see them.
