57.5% of Twitter users voted to resign Elon Musk as CEO of the company.

Musk had asked users yesterday whether he should leave the leadership of Twitter or not, stating that he would stick to the poll results. 

The owner of the social network, who was in Qatar on Sunday to watch the World Cup final, had promised to respect the results of the survey but without providing details on the timing of his resignation or even on the name of his potential successor.

"Nobody wants the job that can really keep Twitter alive," one user replied.
