The film by director Doreen J.
Salam, "Fareha", who was chosen to represent Jordan at the Oscar ceremony, will no longer win her the golden statuette.
This is after he was not selected for the final list of candidates in the foreign film category.
As I recall, the film, which presents the War of Independence from a Palestinian point of view, provoked a large protest over the way the Israeli soldiers were presented in it, who are seen as murderers executing a family, including a one-year-old baby.
On top of that, when the film was uploaded to Netflix services, dozens went out to demonstrate in front of the company's headquarters in London and claimed that it was a blood plot.

Also, dozens of demonstrators gathered in front of the headquarters of the Netflix company in London to protest the publication of the Jordanian film "Fareha", which the protesters claim constitutes a blood plot against IDF soldiers and a distortion of the historical narrative surrounding the War of Liberation and the historical events known as the Nakba by the Palestinians.
At the same time, the Minister of Culture and Sports Hili Trooper addressed the issue, when he said: "This morning I learned that the Al Saraya Theater in Jaffa intends to screen the Jordanian film Farha this evening. The decision of a supported theater in Israel to screen a film that, according to reports, includes false plots against IDF soldiers , describes the slaughter of a family while comparing it to the behavior of the Nazis in the Holocaust, it is particularly outrageous.
The fact that an Israeli theater gives a stage to lies and conspiracies is a disgrace.
"I call on the management of the theater to withdraw from the decision to screen this film," Trooper said firmly and added: "Also, I appeal to the Minister of Finance Mr. Avigdor Lieberman, in whose hands the authority rests, to examine the issue of the budgeting of this institution, in light of his choice to screen this film."
