(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 21 - At the first light of dawn, the Anti-Mafia Investigation Directorate carried out 14 prison orders for international trafficking of very large quantities of narcotic substances issued by the Bari public prosecutor's office. Nine Italian citizens and 5 Albanian nationals are the recipients of the measures.
Overall, the investigation, which began in May 2016, made it possible to seize over 2,300 kilograms of drugs including marijuana, cocaine and heroin, subtracting from the criminal associations proceeds estimated at over 15 million euros for a total of approximately 7 million single doses obtainable from drug dealing retail.
