The Yellowstone franchise continues to be a huge hit with the new 1923 series.
At the premiere, the prequel with Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren even broke a new record on the Paramount+ streaming service.
Almost 7.4 million people in the US are said to have tuned in to watch the premiere of "1923" on Sunday, December 18th via Paramount+ (and other Paramount channels).
For the still young streaming platform, which was formerly called CBS All Access, this is a new record (here about series and films on Paramount+ in January 2023).
Never before has the audience at a reboot been so large.
Especially since the previous best value is said to have been surpassed by more than 80 percent, according to TVLine.
"1923" historically covers Prohibition and the Great Depression, which hit Montana much earlier than the rest of America.
The aftermath of the First World War can also be felt.
Landowners like the Duttons also have to deal with an epidemic of cattle rustlers and outlaws in the not-so-wild-west.
