In season 3 of

Emily in Paris

, available on Netflix on December 21, Sylvie Grateau (Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu) decides to set up her own communication agency.

To do this, the formidable ex-boss of Savoir can count on the support of her faithful collaborators Luc (Bruno Gouery) and Julien (Samuel Arnold), united by an unwavering complicity.

For the release of this new burst of episodes signed Darren Star, the three actors lent themselves to the game of questions and answers.

The opportunity to discuss their off-camera friendship, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu's attraction to "physical scenes" and a sequence in which Sylvie Grateau regains power over her former boss.

What is your best memory of the filming of season 3?

Bruno Gouery.

-

I have a lot of good memories, but there is one, in particular, that comes back to me.

In one episode, Luc, my character, absolutely wants to go to the opera with Sylvie.

So much so that he spends the day in a tuxedo, and ends up staining it.

He then arrives in the office of his boss, after having tried - without success - to remove the famous stain.

During the filming of this scene, my two partners and I struggled to keep our seriousness.

I can even tell you that when I have the shirt in front of my eyes, it's because I was about to burst out laughing.

For the first time, we feel that a very deep bond unites Sylvie and her collaborators, and that it goes almost beyond work.

Bruno Gouery

Over the seasons, your characters have formed a true friendship.

How would you describe this link, and how was it built?

Samuel Arnold.

This is due to our off-camera friendship.

I think I can come forward and say that we have become very good friends.

It shows on the screen.

He still turns to the Philippines to check.

In the series, Luc and Julien are very classy with Sylvie.

When she offers them to follow her in her new adventure and they accept, it touches her enormously.

It creates this really cute scene, where they're kissing in the street.

We do not expect at all to see that between Sylvie and her collaborators, whom she treats a bit like slaves since the beginning of the series.

A stuntwoman's soul

What scene were you dreading playing?

And which were you looking forward to playing?

SA -

For my part, I was really impatient to play the final scenes.

We have very good

cliffhangers

(

) at the end of this season, and I think that for almost all the characters, these sequences were very important.

PLB -

I was really looking forward to playing the scene where I run through lavender fields at night.

I love physical scenes and stunts.

I don't look like it, but I'm Belmondo as a girl.

I'm waiting for someone to write me the helicopter scene in which I'll land on Savoir's desk (Laughs).

BG-

For my part, I was impatient to shoot the tuxedo scene, because it allowed us to see Luc in another configuration.

In a scene from season 3, Sylvie confronts her former boss, and we understand that she suffered inappropriate advances from him when she was an assistant.

Filipina, how did you feel doing this scene?

PLB -

Very well, because I thought it was quite nice that Sylvie could go and confront him.

It was clever of him to say to himself: “Ok, there, I really have a good lever to make you bend”.

Besides, it was smart to use his ex-boss' inappropriate behavior for his job.

It's a weapon like any other!
