Crush hemp leaves and simmer in water for 15 minutes: Cannabis tea is prepared quickly.

But what does he bring?

If you have health problems, you don't always have to resort to chemicals.

Many natural home remedies are also effective for headaches, cold symptoms or sleep disorders.

Hemp is also one of the medicinal plants that have been used to treat health problems for centuries.

Mainly because of the analgesic effects, hemp is used for joint and muscle pain, rheumatic diseases, migraines and cramp-like symptoms in connection with the menstrual period, informs the Society for Clinical Research eV

The effects of cannabis are due to cannabinoids, which are only found in hemp.

The cannabidiol (CBD) in cannabis is said to be responsible for many positive health effects.

It is one of the main cannabinoids in the cannabis plant.

As a pure substance, CBD is currently not subject to the Narcotics Act, as informed by the

Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM)

 .

The problem: In addition to CBD, many available cannabis products contain more THC than is permitted in Germany.

THC is responsible for the intoxicating effects of cannabis and can induce hallucinations and anxiety.

The legal variant of the cannabis plant is a strain that contains little to no THC.

Tea obtained from this is considered legal and can work against insomnia and pain.

Hemp tea is said to have sleep-inducing effects - if you let it steep long enough.

CBD in cannabis promotes sleep

CBD improves sleep and relieves pain, as reported by Rheumaliga Switzerland.

The active ingredient “reduces my pain and has a calming effect on me.

As a result, I sleep better and feel better during the day,” quotes Petra Müller, who suffers from rheumatoid arthritis.

She sees another plus in the positive effect on the symptoms of menopause that the natural anti-inflammatory CBD has.

Making hemp tea: it's that easy

On the one hand, hemp tea is available from different manufacturers.

But you can also make it yourself.

Buy hemp leaves, dry them if necessary and brew your nightcap yourself!

How to proceed if you want to prepare hemp tea yourself:

  • Use fresh or dried hemp leaves.

  • Do not use too much cannabis, just half a gram of herb to half a liter of water to start with.

If you tolerate this dosage well, you can also increase it.

  • Let the leaves simmer in the pot for about 15 minutes.

  • You should always prepare the tea freshly, because the ingredients work best when the tea does not sit around for long.
