It's a mistake to judge people by their appearance, but in the following case it's definitely hard not to.

26-year-old Rosie Moore from Florida is a stunning model and when she tells her colleagues in the modeling industry that she is actually a scientist and naturalist who catches crocodiles with her bare hands, dissects pythons and swims with sharks - many simply do not believe her.

Rosie claims that she is first and foremost a scientist, who deals mainly in the field of reptiles and sharks, but she started modeling when she was offered a photo shoot in the water, accompanied by her fellow deep water predators.

She works in the public sector in the city of Delray on the southeast coast of Florida and deals with water resources management, where her day includes dealing with creepy animals.

"I do a lot of things, like hunting pythons, diving with sharks and tagging different species like alligators," the scientist, originally from Missouri, told Business Insider.

However, if you take a look at her Instagram page, you will mostly find pictures of her modeling in nature, wearing only a bikini.

"There is a small niche for women in the field of modeling with sharks or underwater shoots, so I started meeting with photographers for product shoots and things like that," she explained how she made her first foray into the world of modeling.

Now, Moore has contracts with several clothing and beverage companies and is also signed to a modeling agency for high-end events.

"People always joke on Instagram that I'm like Hannah Montana, because I'll publish a post and then go out into the field to do crazy things. In the morning I'll be covered in mud up to my waist and in the evening I'll appear at a prestigious event with full hair, makeup, high heels and a dress," she said.

If she had to choose between the two professions in her life, she would choose science because, according to her, "it fulfills me more and it is more respected."

She explained: "As a model, when you talk to someone and they find out you're a scientist, it's almost as if their whole attitude towards you changes," she explained, "When people think you're just a model, they care less about you. Once they find out you have a respectable career, something changes in them and they You are treated with more respect. On the other hand, in the world of science, people actually respect the fact that I model, so it's interesting that it goes in one direction and not the other."
