Oscar Niemeyer Museum, Curitiba (Oscar Niemeyer Museum)



This spectacular museum located in the city of Curitiba is named after Oscar Niemeyer, Brazil's most famous architect.

Niemeyer designed the museum himself, and he presents it in his famous modernist-commercial style.

It resembles a UFO in its shape and you can find a series of changing exhibitions of both Brazilian and international artists, as well as a permanent exhibition of Niemeyer's best works.



The museum consists of two separate buildings: the old Castelo Branco building, and next to it an impressive new building with an area of ​​about 3,000 m "R" shaped like an eye.

In this interesting building you can find, among other things, a huge exhibition space surrounded by glass, impressive sculptures, deep paintings and many other beautiful works.

Most of the significant works can be found in the nine rooms of the first floor, including works by Frida Kahlo and Andy Warhol.
