A dm customer was surprised when shopping about individual products that were written on with an Edding.

A discussion then broke out under the influencer's TikTok video.

Karlsruhe – When shopping for care products, most people are probably concerned with the content, not the packaging.

But recently, influencer Rebecca Blank wondered why individual products in a branch of the drugstore chain dm were provided with "scribble scrawl".

As she shows in a video on the social media platform TikTok, for example, "dm" and a number are written on a shampoo with Edding.

TikTokerin on labeled dm products: "I wouldn't buy it like that again"

But what is behind it?

Many dm employees who got in touch as a result of the video were clueless, whereupon the TikTokerin inquired with a salesperson in a branch.

He finally pointed out that the products are often stolen and that they would no longer be suitable for resale with such a distinctive label.

Is that correct?

asked dm about this, but initially there was no answer.

However, under the TikTok video, a discussion broke out about whether the products in question would be bought despite the label.

TikTokerin Blank says clearly: "I would not buy it again."

Many a dm customer pays attention to the packaging

However, one user said: "It doesn't matter what the packaging looks like, you only use the contents anyway", to which Blank replied: "True, but that would influence my purchase decision." Some people meanwhile objected that the shampoo was in in such a condition would at least no longer be suitable as a gift.

As the reactions to the video show, some people are concerned about how the packaging of standard care products looks and it's not just about the content.

Incidentally, dm was recently criticized for not presenting itself as sufficiently gender-sensitive when selling some products.
