About four months after she passed away at the age of 32, the official cause of death of the South African actress and model Charlby Dean was announced.
The New York state coroner confirmed yesterday (Wednesday) to the Los Angeles Times that Dean died at the hospital as a result of sepsis (sepsis) - a life-threatening medical condition caused by an immune response to a severe infection.
The researcher said that the infection developed after Dean was exposed to the predatory bacterium Capnocytophaga, which is found in her lungs.
The infection was aggravated by the fact that Dean's spleen was removed from her body about a decade ago, after she was involved in a serious car accident that happened before you.
"The spleen fights inflammation, and that may have something to do with what happened," said Dean's brother, Alex Jacobs, after she passed away.
"Her spleen just wasn't there, and it made it difficult for her to fight the inflammation."
