The price of European gas continues its fall regardless of the words of the Russian Energy Minister and Deputy Prime Minister, Aleksandr Novak, who threatens to divert supplies to Europe elsewhere.
In Amsterdam, the TTF marks a drop of 8.2% to 83.9 euros below the level of 88 euros reached on 23 February on the eve of the invasion of Ukraine.
Russia intends to divert its gas supplies from Europe to other areas of the world, although the European market remains "significant", Novak said, quoted by the Tass news agency.
Novak, who also quantified the reduction in oil production announced yesterday by Vladimir Putin in response to the European 'price cap' of 5-700 thousand barrels per day, then said that hydrocarbon production will be diverted to Asia-Pacific markets, of Africa and Latin America.
