A 68-year-old woman, for reasons still under investigation, was allegedly mauled by two dogs that apparently belonged to her.
It happened in a house in Concordia, in the Modena area.
The firefighters immediately intervened on the spot with several teams in addition to 118. The woman's conditions immediately appeared critical and she was transported in red code to the Baggiovara hospital, but she died during transport.
It would be two Rottweilers, but the dynamics for which they attacked the woman, a pensioner, is not clear.
Investigations by the local police and carabinieri are underway.
