Every year, new makeup trends emerge - some of them stay with us for years to come, and some of them, usually the bolder and more extreme ones, fade with the end of the year and remain only in the memory and in the pictures from 2016, for example, when we stare at a picture of ourselves with a concealer that is 7 shades lighter than our skin color and ask ourselves What exactly was going through our minds?
A large part of the mentioned trends did not start this year - but they were more "accessible" to the public.
Rhinestone stones could only be seen a few years ago in videos and fashion shows, they have become such that today at almost every event you will find someone who stuck such stones on herself.
Some trends developed, pulled in one direction or another or changed - but all of them held strong sway over the course of the year.
eyeshadows-eyeliner
One of the most prominent trends in 2022 that continued to us from last year, and we will probably continue to see it next year as well, is the eyeshadow-eyeliner, which in most cases is emphasized by a pencil/eyeliner, in black to create sharpness or in the many colors of the rainbow, rises almost to the eyebrow bone and twists in a variety of shapes and colors .
Its soft version is simply a more bold and feline eyeliner in additional colors besides black - usually neon colors that blend in with the shadow.
The trend got more life with the filters for Instagram and TikTok that chose "the eyeliner that best suits your eye shape", although you should question the app's choices, which are sometimes extremely puzzling.

Neon colors
The glowing colors are probably with us for another period - whether it is neon eyeshadows, neon pencils or glitter powder (glitter in Leaz) that reflects light - the neon trend has firmly established itself in 2022, whether in fashion or makeup.
Its subtle version is an eyeliner in a delicate neon color or a combination of a shiny shade in the inner corner of the eye, and the more daring even turned to mascara in bright colors.

The web is full of videos of failed attempts that create the appearance of a monkey sucking from a bottle, compared to ones that look like better shading.

Stones on the face
Like all the trends of 2022, the more glamorous, sparkling and shiny - the more likely you are to see it.

Bright highlighter
The thing that did somewhat abandon us this year, along with concealer on half the face, is the beloved highlighter that a year, two and three years ago we saw massively glowing over every cheekbone, nose and forehead.
Maybe because the trend of glittery shadows, glittery lips and shiny stones on the face meant that we had to give something up, and maybe because the blush that went up to the place where we used to put the highlighter has spread even more - in any case, moderation is evident when it comes to highlighter.
It's still there, but it's much softer and more natural, and in severe cases - doesn't even exist.
But luckily, we haven't gotten there yet.
