If children do something wrong, parents often complain.

They want to educate the offspring to behave better.

A mother on Tiktok demonstrates how things can be done differently.

How parents raise their children is up to them.

Education experts, however, warn again and again against methods that can harm the little ones.

So-called helicopter parents are characterized, for example, by an overprotected upbringing style that, according to one expert, turns children into “dependent tyrants” because the parents are constantly circling around their offspring like helicopters.

Lawnmower parents aren't doing their offspring any good either by removing all the obstacles in life from their path.

At the same time, however, some experts also advise against scolding children or even punishing them if they have done something wrong.

A mother on Tiktok takes this advice to heart and shows her followers how she treats her offspring instead.

They react enthusiastically to their method.

Upbringing: Mother on Tiktok shows how to do it without scolding

Instead of blaming her child for wrongdoing, a young mother on Tiktok wants to find a solution to the problem together.

In a video posted by the young mother on the social media platform, you can see her little son being creative in the apartment and painting a white wall with pens.

Instead of scolding him for it, however, the Tiktokerin, who calls herself marliesjohanna, deals with the situation in a completely different way.

In their opinion, penalties are pointless.

"They are mostly arbitrary and have the sole purpose of 'manipulating' the other person into desired behavior.

But I think it makes sense if a solution is sought," she writes under her video.

And she will probably find them.

"I just think it's really stupid that you painted that," she explains to her child in a calm but firm tone.

Then she asks him to suggest a solution: "Now I want you to think about how we can get this back to normal." The little one immediately has an idea and suggests cleaning the wall.

With the help of his mother, he can finally free her from the dirt.

After that, the mother takes her child on her lap and discusses the incident.

She wants to know the reason why he painted the wall with the colors.

"Did you need attention?" she asks him.

When the reason for his behavior has been found, she calmly explains to her child again that next time he wants her attention, he should speak up.

In the end they both hug.

Parenting: "I'm crying ... such a great mom"

In such situations, the young mother claims to be looking for a solution to the problem that arose from inappropriate or reckless behavior.

"The connection is meaningful for the children (and for adults) to understand and you can put yourself in the shoes of the injured person," she explains further under her video.

The Tiktokerin's parenting style meets with real enthusiasm from her followers, which they express in the comments:
