According to his own statements, a man failed to hand in a deposit for years.

The empties caused enormous receipts at Kaufland and Aldi - and probably also that he was asked to leave the branch.

Fredersdorf-Vogelsdorf - Once again, a remarkable deposit campaign amazes.

The yield does not quite reach the 1358 euros that a couple collected after a year of intensive collecting.

But other supposedly impressive empties receipts easily top the whole thing: A whopping 736.01 euros spread over three receipts came together for an Instagram user who made the deposit machines at Kaufland and Aldi unsafe in Fredersdorf-Vogelsdorf (Brandenburg).

And documented the result with a photo.

Kaufland and Aldi: Brandenburger apparently gives a deposit for 736.01 euros

Of course, none of this is confirmed - neither the action itself nor the details he describes.

The photo does not exactly indicate a fake.

It also shows the date December 13, 2022, on one of the three receipts.

The user gives details: The hashtags “late year cleaning”, “clean up”, “procrastination” already indicate how so many empties came together.

Kaufland / Aldi: Customer reports "a polite house ban" and baffled looks

The Kaufland and Aldi customer describes his action on Instagram as follows: “If, after a long delay, you clear out and finally take away the accumulated empties.

After only several years of laziness, a few hours at the machine, active help, a polite house ban and stunned looks from the cashiers, the result was a handsome sum of 736 euros and 1 cent.

From now on I will take away my bottle deposit more regularly.

Promised."

The user reveals further background to the tz.de query: “All the empties come from personal use and were not collected on the street.

Most of the bottles were sealable PET bottles so that there were no odors or stains when stored in the garage.” When returning the bottles, he made sure that customers “always have access to free return machines.

If I saw someone with empties, I would stop my work and let them in immediately.”

Kaufland employee "asked me to leave the store"

Nevertheless, at some point a Kaufland employee approached him and “asked me to leave the shop.

Even if I didn't impede the business process for the customers, the employees in the background would have a lot to do and could hardly cope with the rush.

You refer to the house rules.

I thought it was inappropriate to have a discussion at this point and handed in the remaining empties in the Aldi branch across the street.

There were no problems there.”

Of course, these details have not been confirmed either, but they sound plausible.

Although “house ban” is probably not quite the correct term – he was probably allowed to enter the Kaufland branch again, but not on that day and with his collection.

He also expressed understanding on Instagram that he had been expelled from the Kaufland branch.

"So.

With around 3000 bottles, I can understand the reluctance of the employees.

They didn't have to send me away, but I didn't want to argue either.

Then I just went to Aldi on the other side of the street.”

Kaufland and Aldi customer with a mega deposit voucher: "Rent an apartment for your bottles?"

While one user is deeply impressed with the words "That's what I call a deposit", the question remains unanswered for another: Where have all the empties been stored over the years?

“Have you rented an apartment for your bottles?” he wants to know and gets an answer: “Since I stopped owning a car, there was plenty of space in the garage.

Out of sight, out of mind.” Some time ago, a Rewe employee let it be known what he thinks of huge amounts of deposit – with the words “I hate people”.

An Upper Bavarian celebrates himself for his personal empties record.
