From Piero Angela to the former foreign minister Franco Frattini, but also the historic Italian brands and the Zingarelli vocabulary, Franco Zeffirelli, space and a series of pro-Ukraine stamps with a surcharge that will be donated to help refugees.
There will be fifty-two new philatelic issues in 2023. The Minister of Enterprise and Made in Italy Adolfo Urso and the Undersecretary in charge of Philately Fausta Bergamotto have given the green light to the program which includes celebratory and commemorative stamps and eight thematic series.
Among the thematic stamps there are those dedicated to the sea, to some historic carnivals and to the roots of Made in Italy.
For the excellences appear, among others: for the show Franco Zeffirelli, for the knowledge, the dictionary of the Italian language Zingarelli, for the space and the future Piero Angela.
In the series of "excellence of the productive and economic system" there are the issues for some historic brands of national interest, this year there will be De Cecco, Cirio, Vismara, Santa Rosa and Star, there are also stamps for Cedral Tassoni, Martini & Rossi, Lanificio Fratelli Tallia di Delfino, Felce Azzurra, Rigoni di Asiago and Industria Maimeri which are celebrating important anniversaries in 2023.
For the "Civic sense" series, postage stamps will be issued for Ukraine, with a surcharge that will be donated to help refugees from Ukraine, stamps dedicated to the Mattei Brothers Association for victims of terrorism and against gender-based violence, with the homage to the Red Benches and a broadcast in memory of the former minister and former president of the Council of State, Franco Frattini.
Finally, for sport, Hellas Verona's 120th anniversary and Ducati's victory at the 2022 moto GP will be celebrated, while Christmas, as per tradition, will have a religious and a secular emission.
The sketches will, as always, be unveiled on the days of issue, according to the established guidelines.
