(ANSA) - TOKYO, DECEMBER 27 - Travelers from China arriving in Japan will be forced to take a Covid test starting Friday, and the positives will have to undergo a 7-day quarantine, in anticipation of an acceleration in the flow of tourists to Tokyo, and Beijing's ambiguity on the number of infections.
This was decided by Japanese Prime Minister FumioKishida.
The Japanese authorities are considering placing a limit on the number of flights from China.
"There are concerns about the real situation in China, due to the discrepancies between the number of infections released by the government and the data provided by the private sector," Kishida said.
