Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, in a telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed her intention to go to Kiev and invited President Zelensky to visit Rome.

The cordial conversation, explains Palazzo Chigi, followed the telephone conversation that Meloni and Zelensky had had on 28 October.
Meloni renewed the full support of the Italian government in Kiev in the political, military, economic and humanitarian fields, in the restoration of energy infrastructures and in the future reconstruction of Ukraine.
Meloni reaffirmed Italy's maximum commitment to any useful action to arrive at a just peace for the Ukrainian nation.
"I thanked Giorgia Meloni for her solidarity and support to Ukraine. I commended the Italian government's allocation of an additional 10 million euros in aid. Meloni informed me that the issue of providing air defense systems to protect of the Ukrainian skies. We discussed the peace plan".
