On the occasion of the automatic renewal of their contract with EDF, Nathalie and Jean-Marc, bakers in Feucherolles (Yvelines), received a

"When I opened the mail sent by EDF at the end of October, I took a blow to the head".

Behind the counter of her bakery, Nathalie tries to hide her anxiety in front of her customers.

A baker for seven years with her husband Jean-Marc in Feucherolles (Yvelines), the forties will see her electricity bill jump by… 1,000% from March 2023. “We will go from 3,000 euros to 30,000 euros per month of electricity.

I don't know at all what will become of us…”, is alarmed Nathalie who confides that she is simply “disgusted”.

“Even with the 35% state aid, we will never get there.

Especially since the price of raw materials has already increased, I will not continue to work like crazy to get into debt.

So if nothing is done for us, it's not worth it.

I'm putting the key under the door and I'm changing jobs,” says the baker, announcing that he will increase the price of his baguette from January by at least 10 cents so as not to sink immediately.
