The examination
of the budget law is underway in the Senate Chamber.
At the end of the general discussion, in the late afternoon, the government will raise the question of confidence in the measure.
The final vote is scheduled for Thursday morning.
After having occupied the commission, protested in the press and on social media and appealed to the president of the Senate Ignazio La Russa, the oppositions, once united, manage to obtain more time for the examination, at least formally, of the budget law.
And they postpone the final ok from Palazzo Madama to the late morning of December 29, just when Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni will be grappling with her first press conference at the end of the year
The maneuver, therefore, arrives in the Chamber at Palazzo Madama without the vote on the mandate of the rapporteur.
The Budget Committee failed to conclude the examination on time.
"We had given the willingness - explains the group leader of Fdi Lucio Malan - to continue until 12 in the commission on condition of a reduction in the number of amendments but an agreement was needed which did not exist".
"The exam times - highlights the leader of the Democratic Party Simona Malpezzi - were not congruous and we had asked for a commitment on the agendas but there was no opening by the government".
However, the final approval times scheduled for tomorrow by 12 noon remain unchanged.
