A whimsical and irresistible queen, as big as a Paris sparrow, flamboyant as a Russian heroine (her father was of Ukrainian Jewish origin).
Suzanne Tarasieve, the one who gave the love of painting that avant-garde scent that accompanied it in everything, the one who showed the German tenors - Georg Baselitz, Jörg Immendorff, Markus Lüpertz and A. R. Penck -, also revealed the younger generation: the Greek Alkis Boutlis at the Maison de Balzac (Paris 16th), the Romanian Alin Bozbiciu at Art Paris, the Swiss Léopold Rabus in his gallery at 7, rue Pastourelle (Paris 3rd).
Always with new energy and unquenchable passion.
Suzanne Tarasieve was simply "Suzanne" for the compact mass of her friends and followers, seduced by her hair-raising charm which hid her seriousness well.
She died on Wednesday, December 28, at the age of 73, from lung cancer, after six months of struggle.
