Toasts, dreams and laughter.

Between one-(wo)man shows and tried-and-tested auteur comedies.

But also great myths and heroes who return to the scene.

It's New Year's Eve at the theatre, with a packed program of shows on stage, often accompanied by toasts and dinners with the Company.

Here are some unmissable appointments to welcome 2023.

ROME-The Palazzo dello Sport is even needed for the evening that Enrico Brignano has in store for his city, protagonist of stories and laughter in "Ma... Let's talk about you! New Year's special" .

A one-man show in which the actor explains: "lately, after the pandemic that has exacerbated distances, you have become even more a matter of form, but not of substance. And since I'm a man of substance, yes he should understand just by looking at me, I would like to recover that YOU that we lost along the way".

Edoardo Leo, on the other hand, returns by popular demand to the Auditorium Parco della Musica to celebrate the arrival of the new year with "I'll tell you a story (reading series and semi-series)", a reading-show with music by Jonis Bascir.

Al Quirino Gassman laughs instead with the new comedy by Carlo Buccirosso, "The neighbor's grass is always greener!"

(on stage until January 8).

Protagonist, Mario Martusciello, wealthy bank official, for some time in an open stormy marriage crisis with his wife,

MILAN - "Like the sticks of Shanghai, if I took away the thing I like least about life, the thing I like best would also be gone forever".

Word of Claudio Bisio, also on New Year's Eve at the Piccolo Teatro Strehler with "My life told badly", a bit of a bildungsroman, a bit of a catalog of stumbling blocks and the joy of living, written by Francesco Piccolo (until 8 January).

And if Checco Zalone continues to reap victims of laughter at the Arcimboldi with his "Amore + Iva" (until the 20th), in a colorful and dangerous 1920s Manhattan, between songs and gangsters, Veronica Pivetti celebrates at Franco Parenti with "They're shooting on our song", musical black story by Giovanna Gra, with toasts and tastings in the foyer (until 3).

At the opera Giorgio Gaber,

BOLOGNA - "I was born and raised inside an amusement park. I did my homework on the pirate ship, I had dinner loading the rifles. I gave my first kiss behind the apple caterpillar. Then the park closed, the rides ran away and now they are everywhere : the attractions are me and you are".

This is how Virginia Raffaele recounts "Samusà", with which she celebrates the 31st at the EuropAuditorium.

FLORENCE - People laugh and toast at the Pergola with Geppy and Lorenzo Gleijeses in one of Eduardo De Filippo's most successful comedies: "Uomo e Galantuomo", the story of a company of strolling players engaged in a series of performances in a bathing establishment, with directed by Armando Pugliese and the participation of Ernesto Mahieux (until 5 January).

NAPLES - Four centuries later, the myth of Masaniello lives again with Sal Da Vinci and Fatima Trotta in "Masaniello Revolution", in its national premiere at the Augusteo (until 15 January).

Written with Ciro Villano, the show retraces the deeds of the popular leader of Piazza Mercato, from a simple fish seller to a powerful popular leader.

For New Year's Eve, special performance at 2 am to start the new year with the actors.

(HANDLE).
