(ANSA) - TOKYO, DECEMBER 29 - The Tokyo Stock Exchange starts the session lower, following the repositioning of the US stock market in view of the end of the year, with investors anticipating the probability of a slowdown in the global economy.
At the opening, the reference index Nikkeisigns a drop of 1.01%, to 26,073.33, and a loss of 267 points.
On the currency front, the yen lost ground against the dollar, just above a level of 134, and at 142.40 against the euro.
