Tourist reputation, at the top of Trentino Alto Adige and Tuscany

ROME - Trentino-Alto Adige, Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna firmly at the top and a significant fourth place for the Marches.

It emerges from the ranking of the tourist reputation of the Italian regions drawn up for the sixth consecutive year by

Demoskopika

and previewed by ANSA.

The methodological scheme prepared by the institute chaired by Raffaele Rio is based on over 144 million indexed pages, just over 7 million likes and followers on social networks, 53 million reviews counted and almost 386,000 accommodation facilities observed.

Trentino-Alto Adige remains fixed in first position with 117.0 points: the first place as the "most social destination in Italy" and the second place as the accommodation offer with the highest approval by the tourists/consumers.

Tuscany confirms its second place in the general classification, continuing to position itself at the top of the most sought-after tourist destinations as well as being second among those considered most popular on the web according to consumer behaviour.

Third place also maintained for Emilia-Romagna, whose performance was significantly affected by the pages indexed on Google as an initial assessment of the online offer volume of the destination, institutional visibility on the main social channels and a significant positioning on the level of assessment of the accommodation offer.

The other regions in the top ten are Marche in fourth position, Veneto in fifth and then to follow: Lazio, Sicily, Lombardy, Puglia and Basilicata.

Umbria, then, holds the primacy of the regional destination with the best performance compared to 2021, deserving a leap forward of 5 positions in the Regional Tourism Reputation Index: for the destination, in fact, the 13th place, compared to 18th /o of the previous year, immediately followed by Marche, Lazio and Campania which climb three places in the general ranking on tourist reputation.

For the president of Tuscany Eugenio Giani it is "a well-deserved award for the work carried out in synergy between the public and private sectors in promoting tourism in Tuscany. We are all rowing in the same direction and this confirms the national and international attractiveness of our tourism" .

The councilor for tourism Leonardo Marras adds: "It is a result that rewards the effort made together with the tourist sectors and that puts us in front of the new year with the desire to do better and better".
