Doctor Who: Anniversary trailer starring David Tennant and Neil Patrick Harris

A trailer for the upcoming Doctor Who anniversary special was under the tree at the BBC at Christmas.

In this, the tenth Doctor, in the form of David Tennant, meets Catherine Tate's Donna Noble again and has to deal with a villain played by Neil Patrick Harris.

Before the curtain rises on the 15th Doctor portrayed by Ncuti Gatwa ("Sex Education") in the upcoming episodes of "Doctor Who", the three-part anniversary special for the 60th birthday of the British science fiction series is coming up in 2023, for which there is now a trailer to see.

We remember: The regeneration episode in which Jodie Whittaker last said goodbye ("The Power of the Doctor") surprisingly ended with her not turning into her official successor, but into David Tennant, who was the tenth Doctor with Companions like Donna Noble (Catherine Tate) sped through space and time.

Donna first joined the series for the Christmas special The Runaway Bride (2006) before joining the TARDIS as a regular companion starting in the episode Partners in Crime (2008).

During her adventures, Donna eventually absorbs some Time Lord regeneration energy and becomes what is known as the DoctorDonna - a combination being whose vast knowledge is too much for a human brain.

The Doctor therefore takes away her memories and warns her family

that she must never remember her travels through space and time.
