The authorities initiate this Friday, at the dawn of the New Year festivities, a massive recall of oysters sold in recent days throughout France, because of the presence of norovirus, which may in particular be responsible for gastroenteritis.
People who have consumed these oysters and who “show symptoms of gastroenteritis (vomiting, diarrhea frequently accompanied by moderate fever), are invited to consult their doctor and report this consumption”, specify the various recall notices. , published on the official Rappel Conso website.
The batches of oysters of the EARL LES 3 M brand, in sizes n°1, n°2, n°3 and n°4, sold in the Leclerc, Intermarché and Super U stores, in Indre-et- Loire, Loir-et-Cher, Loire-Atlantique, Maine-et-Loire, Rhône, Sarthe and Vendée, between December 14 and 23, 2022.

Oysters from Bouzigues (normal and organic), Camargue, Saint-Martin and Sanchez, sold on December 29 at Métro, in Carrefour, Carrefour Market, CSD, Proxi and Promocash stores are also recalled.
Just like the Bouzigues oysters sold throughout France at Auchan (barcodes 30000461135930 and 3000115283951).
Presence of salmonella in other oysters
"Marennes Oléron" oysters, size n°2, sold from December 22 to December 29 in Intermarché stores, in 2.5 kg baskets (barcode 3250392737740) are also subject to a recall because of the presence of salmonella.
"Food poisoning caused by salmonella results in gastrointestinal disorders (diarrhea, vomiting) of sudden onset often accompanied by fever and headaches which generally occur 6 to 72 hours after consumption of the contaminated products. », Specifies the recall notice.
All of these products must be returned to the point of sale in order to obtain a refund.
