Michelle and Barack Obama have been a couple for 30 years.
But in between there were about ten years when the former first lady "couldn't stand" her husband, as Michelle Obama explained with humorous exaggeration in an interview with the news channel Revolt TV (from about minute 44).

The interview was used to launch her new book, The Light We Carry, a guide to life that addresses just such issues.
Obama spoke about it in a women's panel with musicians Kelly Rowland and HER, model Winnie Harlow, and Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson.
It was about the imbalance in her marriage to Barack Obama.
While his political star was rising, she mainly looked after their daughters Sasha and Malia, who are now in their 20s.
“Little kids are terrorists.
They have entitlements, they don't talk, they're bad communicators, they cry all the time, they're irrational, they're selfish, and you love them more than anything, so you can't blame them," Obama said.
