The discount to reduce the cost of fuel ends on January 1st and at the moment, according to what is learned, no extensions are foreseen: therefore there will be an increase of about 18 cents compared to current prices.
According to the latest weekly surveys by the Ministry of the Environment, the national average price of green is 1.625 euros per litre, at its lowest since June 2021. Diesel is instead at 1.689 euros, i.e. at its lowest since 31 January 2022. The current cut - already reduced in December compared to Draghi's 30 cents - applies to everyone, while the government's choice is to concentrate resources on lower incomes.
