(ANSA) - ROME, DECEMBER 30 - The discount to bring down the cost of fuel ends on January 1st and at the moment, according to what has been learned, no extensions are foreseen: therefore there will be an increase of about 18 cents compared to current prices.
According to the latest weekly surveys by the Ministry of the Environment, the national average price of green fuel is 1.625 euros per litre, the lowest since June 2021. Diesel, on the other hand, is at 1.689 euros, i.e. the lowest since 31 January 2022.
The current cut - already reduced in December compared to Draghi's 30 cents - it applies to everyone, while the government's choice is to concentrate resources on the lowest incomes.
