An American accuses pop star Steven Tyler, 74, of sexual abuse, according to several media reports.

According to Rolling Stone magazine, Julia Misley, 65, has filed a lawsuit in a Los Angeles court.

The singer is not named in the lawsuit, but Misley specifically names the Aerosmith frontman in a statement.

For the lawsuit, Misley used a law that temporarily suspends the statute of limitations for sexual assault against a minor.

At the request of the AFP news agency, Tyler's spokesman initially did not want to comment on the allegations.

»Several illegal sexual acts«

According to the lawsuit, Misley met Tyler after a concert in 1973 when she was 16 and her name was Julia Holcomb.

The then 25-year-old took her to his hotel room and committed "several illegal sexual acts" on her, according to the complaint, which is available to Rolling Stone, among others.

Their relationship continued after that because the young people could not do anything to counter "his power, his fame and his financial resources".

Misley's attorneys also said Tyler told her it was "a love story."

In 1974, according to the lawsuit, Tyler was granted guardianship of Julia because he promised her mother that he would see to her welfare and education.

Instead, he traveled around with the young people and provided them with alcohol and drugs.

A year later he also forced her to have an abortion.

The teenager then left Tyler.

She turned to religion, got married and "kept her shame secret," according to the complaint.

According to Rolling Stone, the letter quotes from Tyler's memoirs.

In it, the musician himself reports on a relationship with a minor, but without naming names.

He once "almost married a teenage bride," Rolling Stone quotes Tyler's memoirs as saying.

“Her parents fell in love with me, they gave me custody so I wouldn't be arrested if I took her across the state line.

I took her on tour.«

When Tyler mentioned the relationship in his memoir, the tabloids got their identity out, Misley's attorneys said.

She then had to talk to her relatives about her past.

Misley, who is now a staunch opponent of abortion, wants to sue Tyler for compensation for the alleged sexual assault at the beginning of their relationship and for the psychological consequences of the liaison.
