As France prepares to celebrate the transition from 2022 to 2023, notably with a spectacular fireworks display on the Champs-Élysées,

The countdown and fireworks have already erupted in several countries around the world this Saturday.

With the game of jet lag, the Asia and Pacific zone has already crossed the 2023 mark and said goodbye to a very special year 2022 (War in Ukraine, Covid still present, etc.).

The city of Sydney and its incredible pyrotechnic show fired from the port once again produced magnificent images, as the city's official Twitter account was able to share.

A show that brings together more than a million people every year.

Happy New Year Sydney.

Welcome to 2023!

Also in Australia, the city of Melbourne was also able to offer magnificent images for its transition to 2023 and set the bar high for the other world megalopolises, including Paris where the fireworks will be fired from the Arc de Triomphe.

Happy New Year from the city that dazzles 🎆

Here's to a wonderful 2023!

Even more on the other side of the planet, Auckland and New Zealand broadcast images of joy in the streets with many families gathered to see the fireworks fired from the mythical Sky Tower.

Further north, in Hong Kong, the celebrations of the transition to 2023 were organized at Port Victoria.

The sky was set ablaze and the night of stars offered to the public for the countdown was a huge success.

Thailand had also seen things (very) big for this change of year.

An event called "Amazing Thailand Countdown 2023" offered many concerts, open-air cinema and 30,000 fireworks for Bangkok, especially around the Wat Arun temple.
