A video in which many passengers are seen being violently seated on a flight has gone viral - and has also caused the Thai airline company Thai Smile to issue an official apology the very next day after the incident.

In the video, a passenger can be seen verbally arguing with an increasing number of men coming towards his seat.

Although one of the flight attendants tries to calm the spirits, in the end she has no choice and she pulls back a little as soon as the male companies become aggressive and act with physical violence.

And while the other passengers on the plane look at what is happening, the lone man to whom the violence is directed tries to defend himself against the wave of attacks from the group of men around him.

Does this justify beatings? (Photo: screenshot, Twitter)

All because of the back of the seat

According to local media reports, the fight occurred after the passenger the men were targeting refused to tilt the back of his seat forward for takeoff, in accordance with the safety instructions of the air crew.

Although the crew members warned him that they would report this to the captain, he justified his refusal by claiming back pain.

Witnesses to the incident said that at this point, he replied to the crew members: "Okay, tell [the pilot]. I'm not afraid."

The passengers in the adjacent seats confronted the man about his behavior, which eventually led to a fight.

As a result, the flight was delayed but "continued as normal after the passengers involved calmed down," the airline reported.

However, the passengers involved remained under the watchful eye of the crew members, and it was decided that the passenger who refused to raise the back of the seat, would not receive alcoholic beverages during the flight.

It was also reported that the passengers who started the fight were given the opportunity to change their seats, but they refused to do so.

Either way, no one was injured during the incident.
