The following symptoms are typical of heartburn:
Burning sensation radiating up from the upper abdomen or from behind the breastbone to the neck
burping
difficulties swallowing
burning in the throat
Bad taste in the mouth
Strong feeling of fullness

The cause behind heartburn: When the stomach is severely stretched, the seal at the entrance to the stomach can temporarily loosen.

The acidic gastric juice irritates the mucous membranes of the esophagus, which triggers the typical heartburn symptoms.

Lukewarm, still water or herbal tea with chamomile, caraway or fennel:
The stomach acid is diluted, which often alleviates the symptoms.
Sauerkraut:
This has a neutralizing effect and can be drunk or eaten in the form of sauerkraut juice or pure.
Buttermilk or milk:
The protein and fat contained bind the stomach acid, which can end the unpleasant burning sensation.
Healing earth powder:
Stirred into water, healing earth should put an end to heartburn.

Almonds, hazelnuts, cashew nuts, sunflower seeds:

Potatoes, ripe bananas or whole grain products:

: For heartburn, simply chew oatmeal or boil it with water or milk to make an oat porridge.
