Christmas is over and the new year is just around the corner.
Now is an ideal time to organize your closet a bit more - and in just a few minutes.
Clothing, accessories, belts - somehow the wardrobe is very full.
It should have been sorted out long ago, but there was always a lack of motivation and time?
Luckily, there are a few decluttering tips that will make it a whole lot easier — and faster.
And best of all, letting go of the pieces you don't wear anyway can be wonderfully liberating.
And, quite incidentally, creates space for your future favorite piece?
First put things in order, then sort everything out of the closet and sort it out when you put it away - all in ten minutes.

Mucking out the closet: a period of ten minutes
The quick tidying up for in between is actually very simple: set a timer for ten minutes - and then forget the alarm clock for the time being.
Whether it's done in time or not isn't that important at first.
You can find everything to do with household and garden tips in the regular living newsletter from our partner Merkur.de.
The first thing to do with this method is to ensure visual order: This includes, for example, straightening hangers, picking up fallen things and rearranging things that don't belong in the closet.
Take all the pieces out of the closet and as you put them away make a mental note to sort out three pieces.
These can be things that have not been worn for a long time, are broken or no longer fit.
Say it out loud once: “I'm going to sort out three pieces.” If it's easy for you, sort out more until the alarm goes off.

It is not necessary to dispose of it immediately
The sorted items of clothing do not have to disappear immediately into the next old clothes container.
Instead, just grab a matching box or bag to put things in.
Then they are put away for a year, for example in the basement.
If these are not missed afterwards, the container (or the flea market) is still an option.
With this trick, it will definitely be easier for you to sort out trousers or blouses.

Mucking out the closet becomes a routine
Those ten minutes of decluttering are best made into a ritual.
It doesn't matter whether this takes place weekly or monthly - or at your own pace.
It's more about dividing the big wardrobe issue into small units and creating more order in the long run.
Bad buy?
no problem
The freshly bought trousers were not even exported in the first seven days?
Even with the new dress or pullover there was no need to wear it?
Then it was probably a bad buy and can be returned.
By the way: The ten-minute trick also works in other places in the household, just try it out.
