The Ocean Viking
, the ship of the NGO Sos Mediterranee with 113 migrants on board, will be at anchor in Ravenna around 11.30
, about to disembark in the port of Romagna.
Waiting for them, an impressive organizational machine coordinated by the prefect Castrese De Rosa.
The migrants will be visited, refreshed, identified and finally taken to the final destinations set out in the regional distribution plan.
The youngest passenger on the Ocean Viking is 17 days old.
There are three newborns saved, 34 unaccompanied minors out of 113 people.
The youngest, explains the NGO in a post on social media, is the son of an 18-year-old woman, one of whom spent one of them in Libya before fleeing.
"In his short life, he spent a day at sea where he could have died at any moment. It is absurd to know that people have no choice but to risk their lives and those of their children to escape Libya," says Claire, the communications officer on board.
