There were at least a dozen explosions, according to AFP journalists and local authorities, who invited residents to take shelter.
"Explosions have been heard in Kiev! Stay safe!"
wrote city mayor Vitali Klitschko on Telegram.
Yesterday six civilians were killed and seven others were injured in Russian attacks in Ukraine, the deputy head of the president's office, Kyrylo Tymoshenko, announced on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.
According to data from the regional military administrations, three civilians were killed in the Donetsk region, two in the Kharkiv region and a sixth died in the Chernihiv region.
Five Russian warships are stationed in the Black Sea and are ready for combat, but none of them are equipped with missiles, the Ukrainian Naval Forces announced on Telegram, as reported by Ukrinform.
“In the Black Sea, up to five enemy warships remain in combat service,” the report reads, according to which in the Azov Sea one Russian warship remains combat-ready.
In addition, there are nine Russian warships in the Mediterranean Sea, including five Kalibr-type cruise missile carriers, with a total of 72 missiles on board.
