It should be the end of a bizarre Twitter dispute, at least for the time being.

Romanian police have released video footage of the raid on controversial former kickboxer Andrew Tate.

The recordings show how an armed police unit apparently stormed the villa of the British-American influencer in Bucharest.

The recordings show firearms, other weapons and cash inside the villa.

Since April, a Romanian special unit against organized crime had been investigating the 36-year-old for human trafficking and rape.

Now Tate has been arrested, along with his brother and two accomplices, who are also wanted.

The international attention for the arrest is great.

This is mainly due to the kickboxer exchanging blows on Twitter with Greta Thunberg a few days ago.

Tate, who had often attracted attention in the past with misogynist rhetoric on social networks, had publicly informed the climate activist about his 33-piece sports car collection and asked for her email address so that he could give her a detailed list of the "enormous emissions" of his fleet can send.

The 19-year-old Swede replied, no less publicly, that he would be happy to enlighten her, using an email address that suggests that Tate apparently had to compensate for some things with his cars.

It followed: A much less confident video response from the 36-year-old, which showed that he apparently hadn't quite gotten through Greta Thunberg's irony.

Andrew Tate, Influencer:

»And she replied with her own email address.

Greta's address is: 'I have small penis energy.' Why is that your address, Greta?"

Recently, there was still hot speculation on the Internet as to whether the pizza boxes shown in the video might have served the Romanian authorities as a key clue to Tate's whereabouts.

However, the public prosecutor rejected this as false.

Andrew Tate is now to remain in custody for at least 30 days.

Incidentally, his fleet of vehicles can also be seen in the video of the Romanian special unit.

However, made unrecognizable.

And that should probably annoy him the most.
