"Overwhelming her listeners": Ofra Haza was chosen as one of the 200 greatest singers in history | Israel today

"Rolling Stone", one of the oldest and most respected cultural coverage magazines in the world, published today (Sunday) its list of the "200 greatest singers in history", and it also includes an Israeli entry.

Ofra Haza, one of Israel's favorite singers of all time, occupies the 186th place on the list.

Other names mentioned in the list are Joan Buzz, Alicia Keys, Buddy Holly, Lena Del Rey, Dolly Parton and Paul McCartney.

"Like a call to prayer, the opening section of Ofra Haza's 'If We Were Locked' from 1984 is thrilling and emotional," the magazine wrote, in the reasons for her choice.
