Sahar Cohen stars on the screen these days, but in real life he is engaged in an exciting project • He designs clothes together with cancer survivors, and donates the profits to non-profit organizations • "I realized that I can influence the world for the better," he says

The new season of "Survivor" has just begun, and already we recognize one survivor as particularly interesting, and not only because of his skills on the island.

Sahar Cohen, 27 years old, grew up in Nahariya and is the owner of a social fashion brand - our favorite combination.

We took the opportunity and sat down with him to talk about fashion.

"I moved between many settings in my life. From different middle schools, to a military boarding school, and from there to years of combat service as a combat officer in the Golani," he says.

So how did you get into the world of fashion?

"The world of fashion came to me after my mother Anat, who was the closest thing to me in the world - passed away from cancer. I founded 'Tiki' (tiki - taking care.), with the intention of doing a respectable fundraiser and supporting the associations that accompanied my family during the illness. We started with hats, And very quickly the buzz led me to develop 'Tiki' as a fashion brand with all that implies."

When you look at Sahar's photos on social networks and in survival, the first thought is not that this is the owner of a fashion brand.

It can be said that this is the last thing that can be associated with him when you see his personal style.

"I like basics, wear elegant sports in my everyday life, but I always loved and connected to the street and surfing worlds," he explains.

He says about his brand: "I founded 'Tiki' from my personal experience with the disease - my aunt who died when I was a child, my brother who got sick and recovered twice, and finally my mother who also died from the disease. We started with hats, it was a huge success, and from the first moments of the brand I realized that there was Here's something. We started producing products ourselves, and very quickly realized that there was still room for a significant impact on the lives of cancer patients. Today, the design process incorporates the real stories of the patients and those recovering from the disease."

So what is the process for designing the products?

"We hold a number of meetings with a patient or recovering from cancer, and help him turn his story into a design, which becomes a fashionable product that is sold on the website. In this way, we also raise awareness of the disease, also help that person go through a significant process, and also transfer part of the profits as a donation to non-profit organizations that support cancer patients. It's a win-win situation for all parties," he explains.

"The main association we donate to is 'Machhabrim Plus', which accompanies patients, and supports our brand. It's a huge privilege to take part in this fight," he adds.

Who are the customers of the brand?

"Everyone! The brand is a unisex brand that speaks to all audiences, we have a wide range of products that can suit everyone. The worlds that you can see connecting with us more are really young people who love street and surfing."

And what is your big dream?

"I would like the brand to be established in Israel and around the world, and for every household to recognize it. I love impact entrepreneurship, and I think the world of fashion is an amazing way to convey these messages - to wear something, is to represent something. My greatest pleasure is seeing our customers who don't know me, asking them about the product and see their excitement when they tell about it."

He concludes.
