At the ministerial exchange ceremony held today (Sunday) in Jerusalem, incoming Tourism Minister Haim Katz returned and expressed his satisfaction with the office he requested and received: "The Ministry of Tourism was the office I asked to go to. The office has a central role in strengthening the economy and promoting the beautiful face of Israel," he said.
"Our goal is to reach new heights, every budget must be realized, there is no such thing as returning money to the treasury. We must continue to improve in service to the tourist, for the foreign tourist and the Israeli travelers."
Katz added that he will continue to work to improve infrastructure and increase the offer of accommodation options.
"Every Israeli family should enjoy the beauty of the land and be able to find a place to stay there, according to their personal financial capacity," he said and stated that he would allocate resources to promote tourism in Judea and Samaria: "We will invest in areas that may not have received sufficient attention so far. For example, our local Tuscany in Judea and Samaria ".
The outgoing minister, Yoel Razvozov, said at the ceremony that he was happy that Chaim Katz took the position of tourism minister in his place.
"We had several overlapping conversations with Minister Katz's colleagues that he comes with a lot of experience."
