(ANSA) - ROME, 01 JAN - Avatar 2's march at the box office continues unstoppable: James Cameron's blockbuster remains top at the North American box office of the weekend, raking in another 63.4 million dollars and reaching 421.5 million: an estimate closing out the long New Year's weekend with $440 million, well over the $352 million raised by the first Avatar over the year-end holidays.

Third place for Black Panther - Wakanda Forever, with 4.8 million dollars (438 million in total, for a global collection that should bring the Marvel title to almost 820 million).
In fourth position Whitney - A voice that has become a legend, biopic on Whitney Houston by Warner Bros and directed by KasiLemmons, with 4.2 million at the weekend (a total of 14.9 million at the US box office).
