Caesar 2023: anyone accused of "acts of violence" will be withdrawn

One month after the exclusion of the actor from the competition, following accusations of rape, the Académie des César announces this Monday, in a press release sent to the 4705 voting members of the competition, its decision for the next edition. “not to highlight people who would be implicated by justice for acts of violence”.

In November, the Académie des César had announced that it would open, "as soon as possible", a reflection on its rules, which did not until then provide for the hypothesis of a judicial questioning of a participant in a film likely to be elected.
