Four men – "two fighters and two Syrian soldiers" – died in an Israeli bombing raid on Damascus International Airport

This was announced by the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, based in the United Kingdom.
According to the official Syrian news agency Sana, the attack took place around 2 am local time (1 am in Italy).
"The Israeli enemy has carried out an airstrike using a barrage of missiles, targeting Damascus International Airport and its surroundings," the agency said, citing a Syrian military source and adding that the airport was "out of order."
According to the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights,
the Israeli attack targeted "positions of Hezbollah and pro-Iranian groups in and around the airport, including an arms depot"

Since the start of Syria's civil war in 2011, Israel has carried out hundreds of air strikes on its neighbor, targeting positions of the Syrian army, pro-Iranian forces and Lebanese Hezbollah.
Israel rarely comments on its attacks on Syria, but says it won't allow Iran to expand its influence there.
